Started In 2014 the project EGINA, an oil drilling field located on 130 kilometers from the coast of Nigeria. A huge project managed by a French Petroleum Company, operating in deep waters between 1,400 and 1,700 meters below sea level.
The operator has created an underwater production system connected by umbilicals and risers to an FPSO (floating processing, production and storage unit) designed to hold the millions of barrels that will be produced.
FPSO EGINA left Geoje’s South Korean yard in October to join Nigeria in late January 2018.
