How long have you been with IOTA Group?
Before, I was already working in Malaysia as engineer dedicated to Subsea ancillaries for the Oil & Gas industry. Since 2015, I have been working with IOTA Malaysia as a Business Development Manager.
As Business Development Manager, what is your role?
I develop the activity of IOTA in Asia in searching for new partnerships and creating customer loyalty. Moreover, with the help of our team, we give logistic support to all of our consultants in Asia. We provide tailor-made solutions to support our customers’ work according to the rules of compliance required by the host country (China, Japan, Australia, new zeland, Malaysia). We manage all logistics and regulatory issues related to human resources for our clients.
What do you expect for IOTA Malaysia short-term development?
Our market is always evolving and we have to adapt. Today, we are expanding our offers to attract companies in the railway and Renewable Energy sectors. We work also with companies in the oil and gas sector. Thanks to our long experience and sound knowledge of Asia, we are now helping non local companies that are looking to settle here in terms of accounting, recruitment, work permits, taxes and local content.
Today, what is your recruitment strategy?
Today the local content is more important than ever. Not only for cost reasons, but also quality. The high ranking universities in Asia produce first-rate engineers and managers that we recruit for our clients’ projects.
We focus on regional people who have an experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.
